Why I started Saltflower Studio Art
Saltflower Studio happened at a time when I needed to slow down and reconnect, I was used to doing everything at one hundred miles an hour juggling a demanding work life and a family. I began to rediscover the joy of making things by hand linked with nature. After spending so much time caught up in the noise of everyday life I found myself craving the same feeling I get by standing by the sea and laughing with family and friends. Painting came back into my life as a way to capture that – the rhythm of the waves, the colourful and joyful wildflowers and the beauty of nature.
Why did I start a brand and what does it stand for?
I started Saltflower Studio Art because I wanted to create a space that feels like a sense of escape whether that is laughing with loved ones or being immersed in nature. I wanted to share this feeling through art and design. My art stands for creativity and a love of the natural world. Every design is rooted in slowing down, noticing beauty and our natural surroundings. My brand celebrates sustainability, positivity and art that feels timeless.
What do I care about?
I care about creating art that is good for the people and the planet. That’s why I choose as eco friendly products as possible. I want to be a small part in keeping this planet a beautiful place to live in.
